B.S. Rathor
B.S Rathor is the Chairman & Principal Advisor, All India Resort Development Association (AIRDA), a national body of Vacation (Timeshare) Resort Developers in India. A Honours Graduate in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, B S Rathor joined AIRDA after his retirement from Ford India, where he was Vice President. Earlier, he has held senior executive positions in English Electric & GEC Alstom.
B.S Rathor has been actively involved with major industry and business associations throughout his professional career. He has held Executive Committee positions in national and regional associations as SIAM, CII, IEEMA, AMCHAM and others. He has traveled extensively in Europe, Russia, South East Asia, South Africa, Middle East countries and U.S and has led a high-powered IEEMA delegation to the EC countries.
B.S Rathor is a regular contributor to The Hindu group of publications on industry and economic issues. He is an accredited member of the Foreign Correspondents Club, New Delhi.
On this blog, BS Rathor will share his experience from two key perspectives. One: as a seasoned corporate head who has clocked a lot of air miles across the globe. Two: as a keen analyst, tracking the vacation ownership industry from his AIRDA vantage point.
Ravi Kumar
Ravi Kumar is the Executive Officer with the All India Resort Development Association. In his 10 years (including a stint with RCI) in the Vacation Ownership industry, Ravi has watched timeshare grow from a blip on the industry horizon, to a key segment in the hospitality industry.
In addition to the role of Executive Officer, Ravi wears the hats of PRO and Customer Relations Manager for AIRDA members and end-customers. His dashboard at work also involves the tracking of industry trends, market indicators, project developments and consumer issues – focus points that he will cover on this blog.
