Q: Ravi, what’s your first-hand view of the timeshare experience in India?

A: That, from a concept which started in the early 90’s, timeshare is very much a reality in today’s India! And the fact that the world largest exchange company in the world, RCI is 25 years old in India says something about it!!!

Q: How do the resorts of today compare with those of the early days?

A: The resorts of today are getting increasingly modern in keeping with the requirements of the family. They are also catering to the small, compact family as well as the joint family type in terms of accommodation and choice. The beauty about them is that they are present in the best of the locations in India – be it beaches, historical places, wildlife parks, snow capped mountains, etc.

Walt Disney Co’s new resort

Timeshares Daily reports:

Mickey Mouse has finally reached Hawaii.

Walt Disney Co. gave a sneak preview last month of its new Hawaiian resort, which is set to launch next year.

Aulani is the company’s first major stand-alone resort that is separate from its theme park in Orlando.

“This is a very special project for us,” cited Tom Staggs, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. “It’s unlike anything that Disney has done before; at the same time, it’s very like many of the things we do.”

The resort will hold 359 hotel rooms, 481 timeshare units, several restaurants, a convention center, a spa, and a massive water fun area.

Nestled in Oahu’s Leeward Coast in Ko Olina, it offers vacationers and timeshare owners white-sand beaches, blue lagoons, and a scenic golf course.

According to studies, the new facility will generate more than 4,000 jobs for its construction alone. Upon completion, Aulani will also provide 2,400 job vacancies for running the resort.

Selling Timeshare?

Timeshares Daily reports of a company http://www.selling-a-timeshare.com which makes it easier for owners.

Due to the economic environment, many timeshare owners want to sell their properties. And, the reselling process has been a long and tedious process. Plus, owners get to recover just a small portion of the original sales price. The website has been selling timeshares for years and can get results quickly for sellers.

Using a timeshare broker will allow owners to integrate their personal interests for purchases. Brokers provide the necessary cushion between the seller and the buyer.

Selling a timeshare will take time and effort due to market complexities and regulations. Unless the seller has a firm understanding of the timeshare resale market, it is best to leave resale duties to the experts.
